Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation
If you’ve ever been inspired by a winter sport or an Olympic athlete, then you’ll love the ongoing inspiration that the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation provides. In addition to managing historic venues from the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the Foundation keeps the spirit of the Games alive for everyone in our community and for visitors across the world. Each year, the Utah Olympic Park, Utah Olympic Oval, and Solider Hollow Nordic Center welcome over a million people to play, spectate, train, and compete. Whether they’re elite athletes competing for a spot in the next Olympics or local kids trying ski jumping for the first time, the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation welcomes them all—and brings the spectators to cheer them on. The Foundation also offers scholarships for its sports programs as well as a Healthy Communities Initiative to inspire and improve children’s health through physical activity. But running these venues and programs is a huge task, and the cost is immense. Currently, the Foundation underwrites $4.0 million in annual operating shortfalls and only has half the funding needed to maintain the Park, Oval, and Soldier Hollow. You can help change this. With your generous support, the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation can continue to inspire people everywhere to embrace winter sports—and to stay active throughout their lives.
