South Summit Trails Foundation

Trails enhance our community in so many ways. They preserve our town’s beautiful views, offer peaceful commutes to work, and provide affordable recreation for families. That’s why the work that South Summit Trails Foundation performs is so vital to our community. This organization plans and builds sustainable trails for runners, hikers, bikers, skiers, horses, and more. Their vision is to connect communities in all areas of South Summit County to one another and to adjacent communities. To protect our open lands, this nonprofit organizes citizens of the South Summit area to advocate for non-motorized recreational land use. In three years, South Summit Trails Foundation successfully adopted and maintained existing trails, and increased their use through signage, a community trail map, and outreach projects. The organization also built over seven miles of new trails in the Kamas Valley.
