Arts Council of Park City | Summit County
It’s not just winter sports and outdoor adventures that make Park City one of the most desirable towns to live in. Arts, music, film, and culture are the heart and soul of our eclectic community. Summit County is home to a large number of creatives and makers—from artists to filmmakers to coffee roasters and chocolate makers. Yet the majority make less than half of the median income, making it difficult to work and live here. As an advocate for the arts, the Arts Council of Park City |. Summit County makes it possible for all artists to share their talents and to build their audiences. The Arts Council showcases the work of local artists and offers programming like BRAND PC, a pop-up shop that highlights local creative brands and CREATE PC, a local artist collective studio and gallery, creating new revenue streams for local artists and makers. Plus, they work diligently to connect locals and visitors to other cultural events, like the Latino Arts Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and Kimball Arts Festival through robust cultural tourism marketing efforts. During the COVID-19 shutdown, the Arts Council had to make difficult decisions and cancel, postpone, or reinvent spring programming—events and activities that are a vital source of earned income for the organization. By supporting this nonprofit, you can help ensure that art and culture—and the creative minds behind it all—can continue to flourish in our vibrant mountain town.
