Park City Sailing
There’s something magical about sailing the Jordanelle Reservoir. The stunning snow-peaked backdrop. The wispy breeze in your face. And the exhilarating rush that comes from learning to sail. It’s the ultimate prescription for Parkites searching for recovery and support in our great outdoors. The staff and volunteers from Park City Sailing aim to get everyone out on the water, and to make the sport of sailing affordable and accessible to all with a variety of outreach programs. Through the organization’s Therapeutic Program, residents like veterans with PTSD and individuals with alcohol or opiate addictions can turn to sailing for recreational therapy. Park City Sailing also offers an Adaptive Program where staff members physically adapt a J22 or Rhodes 19 sailboat to accommodate members with ability challenges such as amputation, autism, and muscular dystrophy. And underserved youth get to experience the thrill of sailing through scholarships. With your generous donation, you can bring the joy of sailing—and all its healing benefits—to those who need it most.
