Habitat for Humanity

Our Park City mountainsides are dotted with an array of spectacular custom homes and resorts, but there’s an unseen side to this picturesque landscape. Park City has one of the largest gaps in the nation between its low average wages and exceptionally high housing costs. Many of the hard-working people who make our community thrive, are shut out of local home ownership. Instead, they become one of the more than 13,300 people who commute in to work each day, exasperating traffic and pollution problems. Habitat for Humanity of Summit & Wasatch Counties works each day to improve our quality of life by building affordable “green” homes, renovating existing houses, and repairing the older homes where our seniors, veterans, and disabled residents live. Habitat combines this hands-on construction work with education and advocacy, helping everyone in our community find access to housing services, boost their financial literacy, repair their credit, and prepare for homeownership. They also help divert more than 500 tons of waste from local landfills every year through their home improvement store, Habitat ReStore. Your generous donation will help them continue this critical work—so that everyone who lives here has a decent and affordable place to call home.
