Community Response Fund for COVID-19
Summit County has been hard hit by COVID-19. We now have the highest unemployment rate in Utah and our friends and neighbors are struggling to pay rent and put food on the table. Park City Community Foundation activated the Community Response Fund to support locals who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The Community Response Fund is having a huge impact in greater Park City. It allows organizations that offer important services to our community to stay afloat, and it helps prevent homelessness and hunger during this difficult time.
Grants from the fund are being rapidly awarded to health and human services organizations helping people who are struggling with rent, food security, and other urgent needs. The fund is also awarding stabilization phase grants that provide unrestricted support to nonprofits to help offset the economic impacts of COVID-19.
There is still a significant gap between donations that have come in to the fund and what is expected to be needed by local nonprofits to get through the coronavirus pandemic intact and able to provide their services. We are asking for contributions of any size to help get Park City and Summit County through stabilization and recovery. Woodward Play It Forward Fund is currently matching donations up to $75,000 to the Community Response Fund. Please give today.
