Communities That Care
Thank you for supporting the mental health of our community!
CTC Summit County is uniquely positioned as the community hub and convener to create a culture of health for youth and families. Our vision is a world of connection, vitality, and wellbeing where kids and families thrive. Our mission is to collaboratively improve the lives of youth and families by fostering a culture of health through prevention. Our families face unprecedented stress and change during COVID-19. CTC provides resources for families to foster resilience, cope with stress and grief, as well as point the community towards mental health resources. We don’t just talk, we act. We help families with mental/emotional and behavior issues.
- Anxiety is the most commonly reported mental health issue for youth and teens with nearly 25% of youth reporting feeling anxious or depressed.
- Utah has the 5th highest rate of suicide in the US and suicide is the leading cause of death for kids ages 1-17.
- One third of 12th graders in our community are using alcohol regularly.
- The most common place Summit County teens are using drugs and alcohol is at home with their parents’ permission.
Through our coalition model, we break down the silos and elevate the impact of every organization. We weave together the critical priorities and values of our community into an integrated approach to wellbeing.
