Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah

Take a minute to reflect on the mentors who have shaped your life. You may find yourself thinking about special teachers, family friends, or older siblings who inspired you to reach your potential—and even beyond. But imagine facing life’s challenges with no role models to turn to. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah defends the potential of Summit County children by providing enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that can change their lives for the better. Paired with a mentor who shares similar interests, children age 6-17 get the benefit of a stable relationship that can help them thrive. Here in Park City, fostering these relationships has created a better community for all, with community-wide improvements in educational performance, personal behavior, and the emotional well-being of mentored youth. With 92 percent of the children served coming from low-to-moderate income families, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah opens a future that might not have been possible without intervention.  In the midst of the Covid-19 global pandemic, your funding remains critical to allow BBBSU to connect as many children as possible with a mentor. With a dependable ally by their side, youth in our program can emerge from this crisis stronger, more resilient, and ready to build a better future for all.
